Asked the student: "Wise man, how can we explain the creation of our universe to children? Without having to go into all the details? In a way that relates to their experiences?"
Answered the teacher:
We believe...
God created everything we see.Maybe even more.
Not because God wanted to,
but because God had no other choice.
It was Destiny.
Let there be Water
The first thing God created was water.
A lot of water.
It flowed out, creating Space,
where before, there was none.
Let there be Earth
Inside the water, God had placed
small clumps of soil.
They clumped together into bigger clumps.
Those formed rocks, which formed planets.
We live on a planet. It's called "Earth".
Let there be Fire
More and more rocks clumped together.
The clumps got very big and very heavy.
They caved in and caught on fire.
These were the first stars.
Our sun is a star.
The universe holds many, many stars.
Let there be Air
Due to all thise planets and stars,
holes formed in the water.
After some time, there were more holes
than water. And the water clung to the rocks.
The holes connected, forming space.
There's lots of space, now.
Let there be Life
The last thing God created, was life.
God took his own, and spread it out
over our universe. Then he died.
Because of this sacrifice, life is Sacred.
The rest is History
After a few billion years, us humans appear. We're significant to ourselves.
But we pale in comparison to our universe.
And there might be many more universes...
Before ours, alongside, after it...
that we can't yet see.
