Asked the student, "Wise man, why are we here?"

Responded the teacher, "Well, what brought you to this place?"

Answered the student, "To here? My curiosity, my will to learn, to better myself."

Asked the teacher, "If you know that, then why ask me?"

Replied the student, "Wise man, I must have asked my question incorrectly. I didn't mean to ask why I am here, receiving your education. Instead, I meant to ask why we, us humans, exist on this planet, today."

"Ah," sighed the teacher, "and why is it, that you believe your first answer doesn't apply to that question?"

"But wise man," asked the student, "how do my curiosity and will to learn and better myself account for human existence?"

Answered the teacher, "If that doesn't suffice, then what will?"

Thus the teacher left the student to ponder.
